River Café Yacht Club
Hello dear customers and friends of the River Café.
A dramatic heading, but alas after 6 months of Jean Christophe and John Harpers much enjoyed partnership at the River Café, we will be closing on the weekend of the 24th October .
We have enjoyed your company, also cooking for you and hope that you will find time to enjoy dinner with us before we leave the Café. Unfortunately due to the break up of Allison and John and their impending divorce, John and Jean Christophe will both be moving on. We are actively looking for new premises in the area and hope to be preparing and serving our food to you next year at a brand new venue.
Allison is planning to develop the River Café site in the near future and we will therefore be closing down at the end of October.
However, until then, we will be serving our normal menu, plus catch of the day and we are offering all of our loyal customers, which includes yourself, a free bottle of wine with dinner for two, right up until we close. If you would like to join us for our last dinner and party weekend on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October, we will be preparing a specially priced and designed menu for those 2 nights. If you would like to join us in drinking the house dry, please book early as we are expecting lots of you to take advantage of our last supper! It has been a real pleasure cooking and serving you all and we look forward to seeing you again at a future date. Take care and keep enjoying the good life …
